శివరాత్రి జాగారం 

సంఘ సంక్షేమ వ్యవహారం

అరిష్టాన్ని అడ్డుకునే సమిష్టి కార్యక్రమం 

నష్టాని ఆపే పెద్ద ప్రయత్నం 

సంఘానికి వచ్చిన కష్టం పెద్దది

సామాన్యుల వల్ల కానిది  

జరుగుతున్న నష్టాలు చాలా చాలా ఎక్కువ

ఆపడానికి ఉన్న శక్తి చాలా తక్కువ

శివుడంత వాడు రావాలి

సమస్యను బాగా చూడాలి

తన పూర్తి శక్తిని వాడాలి

స్వయంగా సమస్యతో పోరాడాలి

మరి జాగార మెందుకు

శివుడున్నాడుగా మనకు నిద్రభంగమెందుకు

అలసి పోయి ఉన్నాము

వెళ్లి విశ్రమిద్దాము

శివరాత్రి కధ వింటే తెలుస్తుంది కొంత

శివుడికీ కావాలి పార్వతి చెంత

సహాయం కావాలి

ప్రోత్సాహం కావాలి

శివుడు పెద్ద రాక్షసుడుతో యుద్ధం చేస్తుంటే

చిన్న రాక్షసులను ఎవరు ఆపుతారు 

ప్రజలంతా పడుకుంటే 

అంతా క్షేమం అనుకుంటే

మిగిలేది నాశనం

జరిగేది సర్వనాశనం

శివరాత్రి జాగారం 

సంఘ సంక్షేమ వ్యవహారం

మేలుకో మేలుకో

నిద్రమీద మమకారం మర్చిపో మర్చిపో

ఎదురుగా ఉన్న ఆపదను ఎదుర్కో ఎదుర్కో

శివుడుతో చెయ్యి కలిపి సమరం గెలుచుకో గెలుచుకో

that gives them most

profit at last

and makes them best

Technology makes one good engineer

Economy makes him rich engineer

Mother, My Play is Over

A Devotee's Prayer

The poem is about a devotee requesting the divine mother to take him back to her and give him the release from the cycle of births and deaths.

I might have insisted on letting me go and play
You might have told me not to think of toys of clay
But I must have troubled you not to delay
My escape to the world of play and relay.


You might have opened the lock
But might have pulled me back
I must have shaked vigorously my arm
Oh mother! I didn’t know the harm.


Mother, now I am tired of this play
Something on me grows and decays
I have to go to courts and pay
Penalties and endure punishments for errors in plays.



I come to play many characters
Sometimes a child
Sometimes a friend
Sometimes a husband.


But there is pain all around
Sometimes I remember you
And walk around
to find our house anew.


I know I don’t persist in my search
Sometimes, there is some other toy on the perch
Sometimes some disease catches me on the lurch
Sometimes some powerful persons catch and latch.


Mother, I am really tired of this play
I want to come and join our family
I realized my folly
I repent my escapade fully.

A guru told me a name as yours
and asked me to chant for hours
I am chanting and counting with flowers
Mother! Find me and take me back with your powers.

సిరుల పండుగ, సంక్రాంతి పండుగ

సిరుల పండుగ, సంక్రాంతి పండుగ

గాదెలు నిండగ, గుండెలు చల్లగా

భోగి మంటలు వెచ్చగా, గాలులు వీయగ

వంటలు కమ్మగా, వాసనలు తేలెగా

గారులు, బూరులు 

అప్పడాలు, అరిసెలు

పానకాలు, పులుసులు

పిండివంటలు, బొబ్బట్లు

నాట్యాలు, నాటకాలు

గంగిరెద్దుల సంబరాలు 

గొబ్బిళ్ళ కోలాటాలు

అందరికి ఆనంద ఉత్సాహాలు

Prosperous Enterprises in Every Village - Dream of Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi advocated development of villages. He did not want special emphasis on development of urban area by transferring resources from villages to urban centers. But the modern development of India was based on development of urban centers. Massive industrial and irrigation projects that were accompanied by big beauracratic (hierachical) organizations that were supported big educational institutes, hospitals, recreation centers, movie theatres, shopping facilities, eating facilities and travel facilities. One led to the other and people in villages were forced to migrate to cities in search of livelihood. 

Gandhi's Dream for Villages of India

A cow in every house
provided with plentiful green grass

carpenters, tailors
potters and shoppers
business every where
with plenty to share


A doctor to look after
Good leader to administer
A teacher for children to grow
A bank for wealth to flow


Gandhi's dream
For me, it's supreme

తెలుగు వాడ లేవరా

తలుపుతట్టి లేపరా

తెలుగు భాష మేలుకోరి

ప్రయత్నమ్ము  సేయరా

 

నీ భాష

నీ మాట

తీయని ఒక పండురా 

చక్కటి మకరందమ్మురా

 

కమ్మనైన భాష

కడు తేలికైన భాష

లెస్స భాషగా

రాయలు వర్ణించిన  భాష

 

లెక్కలైనగాని

శాస్త్ర సిద్ధాంతములైనగాని

వ్యాధులైనగాని

వ్యవస్థలైనగాని

 

నేర్చుకోరా తెలుగులో

మాతృభాష కొలువులో

పండుగ లండీ  పండుగలూ

సరదా, సందడి, సంతోషములు

ఉగాది పండుగ వచ్చిందంటే

వేప-మామిడి పచ్చడి    చేస్తాం

శ్రీ రామనవమి వచ్చిందంటే
సీతా రాముల పెళ్లి చేస్తాం

శివరాత్రి వచ్చిందంటే

శివ   శివ  అని జాగారం చేస్తాం

గణపతి చవితి వచ్చిందంటే

గరికె, గడ్డి ఏరి తెస్తాం

కృష్ణాష్టమి వచ్చిందంటే
ఎత్తుకు ఎగిరి ఉట్టిని కొడతాం

దసరా పండుగ వచ్చిందంటే

దాన్సులెన్నో దండిగా చేస్స్తాం

దీపావళి వచ్చిందంటే

ఇల్లంతా దీపా లెడతాం

నాగుల చవితి వచ్చిందంటే

పాలెన్నో పుట్టలో  పోస్తాము

సంక్రాంతి  వచ్చిందంటే  సిరులెన్నో తెచ్సిందంటే

బూర్లు  గార్లు దండిగా చేస్తాం

పండుగ లండీ  పండుగలూ

సరదా, సందడి, సంతోషములు

ఉత్సాహాన్ని తెస్తోంది

ఊరంతా సంతోషం

ఉరకలు వేసే సందోహం

ఉప్పు, పులుపు, చెరుకు, చేదు

ఉపాహారం ఈ రోజు ప్రత్యేకం 

ఉదయం తలంటు పోత

ఉత్సాహం కొత్త బట్టల జత 

ఊరి దేవత సంబరం

ఉత్కంట గొలిపే వినోదం 

ఉగాది పంచాంగ శ్రవణం

ఊరట ఇచ్చే గోచారం వివరం

ఉంది ఉంది మంచి పొంచి  

ఉన్నది గ్రహాల బలం

ఊరికి కొంచెం ఉపకారం 

ఉగ్ర గ్రహాల శాంతికి దానం

ఉన్నత స్థితికి సోపానం

ఉద్వాసన - ఇబ్బందులు మాయం

ఉగాది పండుగ ధ్యేయం 

ఉత్సాహాన్ని పెంచడం
